1. General Description
B2-1016 adopts the international advanced following up (contact point tracking) grinding technology. Through the full-closed loop control of grinding carriage feeding axis (X axis) and workpiece rotating axis (C axis), it can complete the grinding of camshaft with a single clamping. The machine uses CBN grinding wheel and flexible adjustment, making the machine with high accuracy and process efficiency.
The machine has the function of error compensation, reliable interlock, safety protection, failure alarming, and automatic failure diagnosis. And the safety, environment protection, and ergonomic of the machine conform to the international standard.
2. Mechanical System
The machine adopts full protecting cover and equipped with independent air cleaner. The machine has front sliding door, protected window and large repairing window. The protecting door is driven by air cylinder, and it has automatic opening and closing function and electronic lock.
Ø The bed adopts high strength and wear-resistance cast iron (HT300), and casted by resin sand technology.
Ø The grinding wheel spindle adopts BEIER's special high precision bybrid bearing spindle system, with an independent lubricating tank. And the spindle lubricating device is equipped with temperature controlling device. The spindle adopts current over-loading protecting device. When the grinding is overloaded, the grinding head will retreat automatically.
Ø The machine equipped with MARPOSS automatic grinding wheel balance apparatus to realize the online dynamic balance, and with the AE ultrasonic sensor to realize the elimination of idle feeding travel and anti-collision of the wheel.
Ø The machine has independent spindle lubricating tank and oil-coolant device. The tank has liquid level, pressure, temperature, flow alarming function.
Ø The CNC system, ball screw, guide-way, bearing and hydraulic components are products from famous company.
Ø The workhead spindle (C axis) adopts high precision rolling bearing structure, and rotation is driven by inserted torque motor. HEIDENHAIN angle encoder is equipped, and the rotation speed is 0-200r/min. The rotation accuracy and positioning accuracy is high.
Ø The tailstock adopts the hydraulic-driven sleeve type structure and the hydraulic travel is 60mm.
Ø The fixture is designed according to customer's workpiece and phase angle need to be confirmed when clamping.
Ø The machine has the workpiece loading confirming function, and when the loading or clamping of workpiece is not correct, the machine will not start.
Ø X axis adopts high precision closed hydrostatic guide-way, and driven by linear motor. The guideway has the features of low friction coefficient, good vibration resistance, quick motion response and precise micro feeding. It uses the HEIDENHAIN grating to do the closed loop control.
Ø Z-axis moving guide way is located on the front of the machine and one plane and one V-type plastic filmed laminated guide way is adopted. The application of A.C. servo motor and ball screw make it has the features of low friction coefficient and good vibration resistance. The servo motor has absolute position encoder, and the screw supporting bearing is from NSK.
Ø The diamond roller dressing device is driven by motorized spindle to complete the dressing of CBN grinding wheel, and it has compensation function after dressing. The inspecting bracket has ultrasonic device, combining the automatic gauge, to realize the precise control of dressing amount.
Ø The machine can match the production line and it reserve five pairs of I/O connector to match the automatic manipulator.
Ø The adjustable bracket is mounted on the worktable, which is used to place the camshaft.
Ø The coolant system adopts magnetic and paper filter tank. The capability of the tank is 1000L, and filter fineness is 25 um. The machine equipped with independent workpiece coolant and machine bed washing device. The coolant device has independent filtering device. The tank is independently located on the back of the machine. Liquid level display is equipped on the coolant tank. The pump flow is 200L/min and capacity of the tank is 1000L. There is blowing effuser which is used to clean the centers.
Ø The machine has special camshaft grinding software and it can generate the grinding process inputting the parameters of workpiece and other technical data. It can do the automatic compensation according to grinding error and wheel dressing amount. And the machine has machining and production data management and statistic function which can provide useful support for production management.
Ø The studying function on FANUC 31i CNC system is specially designed for non-circle grinding, and it realized the online automatic studying and position error restoring, which largely decrease the machining error caused by outside reasons.
Ø The machine has the function of reliable interlock, safety protection, failure alarming, and automatic failure diagnosis. And the safety, environment protection, and ergonomic of the machine conform to the international standard.
Ø Automatic degree: manual loading and unloading of workpiece, pneumatic door and electronic lock.
3. Electric controlling system
Designing of electrics meets China national standard and relative international standard.
FANUC 31i CNC system is adopted, and all servo motors are equipped with absolute encoder. RS232C communication interface is available.
Work piece accounting, grinding wheel life expectancy, trouble alarming and programming interface can be displayed. Switches, buttons on the operation board and main components are imported or products of joint adventures.
3-color indicating light is employed on the machine and it can indicate the working condition. Buzzer alarm is adopted.
Stand alone electric cabinet is with air conditioner. (Temperature controlled needs to be ensured in high temperature summer.) The operating board is fixed in the up right of the front protective cover. Lighting, 220V socket and file storage are available in the cabinet. The connecting wires between the power supply and electric cabinet is placed through the air. 3-phase digital ammeter is located on the side surface of electric cabinet. Perspex plate visible window is available. The protection degree of the electric cabinet is IP54.
The portable controller can adjust manual feeding of X, Z, and C axes.
10.4 inch color touching type LCD displayer, both English and Chinese displaying are available.
